Left Side headache

Hello Everyone. I am having head ache on the left side . I get it more when I end up sleeping on the left side. Even if I try to sleep on my back and straight I still end up sleeping on left on some nights. Them days are the worst as it directly effect my brain as it feels like the left side of brain is not working. I have seen the doctor few time and end up receiving medication for stress whereas my major issue is sleeping pattern. I believe my nerve get pressed while sleeping which causes me pain next day after waking up. I probably need something which can keep my head straight during sleep. Any suggestion will be much appreciated.

I feel your pain .. lol . I can only lie on my right side or it triggers all manner of pain. I put time and effort into finding the best pillow for me. I need thee flattest pillow that I can shape round under my chin. I use one that looks and feels horrific, but, minimises discomfort and keeps me mostly on rt. I will check manufacturer, it's filled with ?husk? I will check and post later

Yeah,I have been looking all sort of things which can keep my head straight. Do let me know what kind of pillow you are using. By the way.. Are you taking any medicine at all.?

Brow farm 100% buckwheat . I emptied out at least half of contents, so could make another pillow. I have been prescribed every med known to NHS, I just don’t tolerate them.

I use when I have to rizatriptan, 900mg aspirin and get Botox via NHS. Botox with varying results. New Dr last time and was very sore and bruised 😕. I attended a nutritionalist and looked at maximising diet and tried eliminating various food groups, but I think neck a separate problem. Heh Ho. Everything gets lumped into migraine .

Hi,

Have you considered wearing a soft collar for sleeping? They take a bit of getting used to but definitely keep your head straight. You can buy them from pharmacies. Hope you find relief soon.

I used one for many years and slept well after the first week or so getting used to it. I think it did help to a certain extent, but I have many migraine triggers so it didn't get rid of them completely, worth a try though I think
