My neurologist started me on emgality today. It’s not cheap and would love to hear other people’s reaction to it. Thank you in advance

Anyone try emgality for headaches?
I have taken it . In my opinion, I had an inconsistent response, one month was great with a significant reduction in migraine days, but then the next two months I was back to my normal 12-15 migraine days per month. I was dealing with other factors that could have increased my headache days (ovarian cysts.) I would give it at least three months to see how it works for you.
Thank you. Good to know. I just picked it up today. We’ll see. I have had a stroke. So that’s a lot of the reason for the headaches. So my neurologist is kind of just trying everything at this point.
I’ve been on monthly injections of emgality for about 8 months. Very effective . I’m down from about 15 episodes a month to about 4, and most of the time, a session with my Cephaly II takes care of it. Sometimes I still have to use imitrex, maybe once a month.
It took a few months for the emgality to become really effective, so my advice is to stick with it fir at least three months
Awesome. Ty. Yeah. I took my first dose last night. Woke up with a doozy of a headache. My neurologist said no excedrin. But my mom just got home from the hospital bed ridden. So I had to get up. I hope it’s an ok thing to mix.
I hope this medicine works. That would be amazing. I’d rather not take excedrin but not sure what he wants me to do.
Anyway. Thanks. Can’t wait to see this work wonders.
