I’m looking into getting one to try and help me. I’m tired of them coming on suddenly for no reason. Any help is appreciated

Me too. It's $100 NZ. I have had migraines 30 years. I would like to know if it helps you.

Hi Migraineagain,

I have looked at your excellent website and will probably purchase the Migraine World Summit pass to hear some of the talks from 2017. As you seem to be very well informed about migraines, would you mind me asking you what it is that you have found to be most successful in your migraine treatment? I am struggling after many years of suffering with these headaches and am hoping to get some help from a specialist (one of the speakers at your conference!) after June. It can feel very hopeless at times, and I'd be very interested in hearing what you have found to help you most. Sorry for asking this question and please just ignore this message if you're too busy. With my thanks, Clydelle

I had both daiths pierced 10 days ago and I have had less than half the migraines that I would normally have since then! (4 instead of 8!). They take a long time to heal because of reduced blood flow in that area of the ear and are prone to infection so must be cleaned several times a day for the first few months but my experience so far has been positive. I’ve heard that these piercings mainly help digestive migraines but my migraines are from a traumatic brain injury and they have helped me.

I have my daith pierced for migraines and I find it has really made a difference! You should go for it and if not you can always take it out. But for me it was worth it because since I've had it done they are not as often or as bad!

Hi. Had mine done 2.5 years ago and initially had no pain for 3weeks. Mine were daily. After 3weeks they gradually came back but not as severe and not as often. The cost was £30 so you have nothing to lose. Many people have reported them stopping altogether

Hello, I had mine done on the left side only few months ago. I figured if it doesn't work then it looks very good :) my piercing is not fully healed yet but I can see a difference and it now seems my right side (no daith) is affected when migraine attacks. My migraines are stress and dehydration related.

Also my piercer told me that there is no scientific research for this so he couldn't guarantee it will help. I thought it was worth a try and didn't rely on this too much.

Thanks x

How much does it hurt honestly and how high do you feel your pain tolerance is? Things I’m scared about going in are sound it will make, pain, and the healing process
