Headaches everyday
Cut out all sugars & grains, keep hydrated
Hi Karen 16, be interesting to know what you do with you diet too, I too cut out all wheat, grain and any sugar, and things that convert to sugar in the body.
I do fall off the wagon occasionally and I can rely notice the difference, have just had a three day spell of cluster head ache, on top of migrane, and thats because I’ve had an accident on my horse, broken my leg, so now cannot run or exercise either now.
I find that exercise along with the sugar free grain free diet has been the singular most effective thing, Am now really going to screw down myself to the 30 day keto challenge keeping carbs down to 20gm only.
Is this the diet you follow.?
Hi,
If you have chronic daily headache you need to limit your painkillers, if you are taking Ibuprofen almost everyday you could could be getting rebound headaches. I presume you have seen a doctor and they have diagnosed something? You should probably limit your pain killers to 8 days a month. Diet restriction makes no difference to my headaches.
You say you take painkillers but they dont work, then the first thing I'd suggest is stopping them, particularly as headaches are a side effect. Without the useless tablets you might more easily identify the trigger(s)
Hi,
You did not say how much ibuprofen you are taking but any meds in excess can cause medication overuse headache which is a daily headache usually starts in base of neck upon waking. MSG which is in a lot of packaged foods and salad dressing and aspertane in diet sodas can cause them as well. Try eating a Whole Foods diet with no added condiments and just have water for a week or two stop the meds and see if you improve. I never had to go off grain but did need to eliminate gluten. I have greatly improved since I nixed the meds in July of this year. I have suffered for decades.
You need to see a headache specialist. I have same symptoms and been diagnosed with hemicrania continua. There is no cure but I was put on the Gammacore trial which has helped with the severity and a little with frequency. You could be offered nerve blocks which help a lot of people or even Botox but you do need to get referred to a specialist
