Βeta-Blockers - How long to take them for?

Hi guys,

I was just wondering for how long you have been taking β-blockers if you have been treated with them? I've been taking mine for 2.5 years now and there is no end in sight. I was wondering whether it's normal to be just kept on them or whether you only take them for a set period of time. I know if won't "cure" migraines and all and if I stop taking them they probably gonna come back more frequently. But taking these meds must have some other physical implications for an otherwise healthy subject.
