Have any migraine patients in United Kingdom had VYEPTI INFUSION 300mls yet.? Did it help reduce migraine pain better than 100mls. Has anyone had a bad reaction to infusion.? my neurologist is starting me at 100mls for safety , but he said he does not expect me to respond till I go up to300mls. We are talking about 6 to 9 months then. I would be very thankful if I could get some replies.I am on week 9 of Atogepant 60mgs but I have had no response, only complete exhaustion. Many thanks ,awaiting replies. 195fifi

VYEPTI INFUSION 300mls
Hello, yes I am in UK and had 2 rounds of Vyepti. It has been very good in vastly reducing my vomiting and nausea linked to Migraine. I am combining it with Vydura for an even better result. This was last chance saloon for me, as other CGRP drugs had either worked and failed, or not worked at all.I got Vyepti through the National Migraine Centre, which I pay for, but have to travel to either London, Glasgow or, my particular choice, Rochester in Kent, due to ease of parking. I travel from Sheffield but it is worth it.
After paying for Vydura for quite a while, I have been fortunate enough to get my local gp practice to pay for this aspect of treatment.
If you have tried everything else and are desperate for relief and if you also have funds, I would suggest you go for it. I am currently in the process of negotiating Vyepti on the NHS. Fingers crossed for this.
Hi Pingez, thank you for letting me know that Vyepti is helping you, and also vydura. Hopefully you will get it on NHS. I have tried both Gepants which we have to pay for in Ireland. The Health Board here will not pay for them , My brother has paid 1,500 EURO and neither have helped me. The Health Board is paying for Vyepti for patients up to 65. I am 70 so I have to go through my private Health Insurance. All health insurers here have agreed to fund except my Insurer. They will not respond to my neurologist or me. He is on holiday and said he will see what he can do when he gets back. He is starting patients on 100mls for first 2 rounds of Vyepti for safety. He said that he does not expect me to have a response till I go on 300mls. I have to pay all my doctors when I see as I have to go private. If you went public here you could wait years to see a doctor. I used to go over to UK to see professor Peter Goadsby , at Kings College. Then Brexit and Covid 19 happened, so that is no longer an option. He is working in California USA now. It was also very expensive as my brother would come with me. I had TKR 8 months ago and the knee that was done 6 years ago has come loose. My surgeon needs to operate on this knee, but he said I am not well enough for surgery. I also have fibromyaglia and get a lot of nausea from the migraines. Hopefully I will get Vyepti soon .I have read reviews from patients in USA and they all seem to be getting good pain relief. I will let you know when I finally get it. Hope your health continues to improve. Healing thoughts 195fifi (Ireland )
Best wishes for you. It's a miserable thing to have to cope with. I've just come through a hip replacement and with that and the migraines it was tough going. Things are a little better for me now. Here's hoping you see some sunshine after all the rain. I'm 69 and would really like a few nice years before I die. Fingers crossed for both of us. X
