migraine post meningoencephalitis

Hi. I’m a 64 year old female who developed meningitis and encephalitis in February 2018. I used to suffer from aura and nausea migraines from the age of 20 which became less frequent as I aged. However since the meningoencephalitis they are back but worse with pain mostly in the same area on the right at the back of my head but not exclusively so. My neurologist suggested a GON block. I was wondering what people think about this and how helpful or safe it is. Many thanks in advance, Annette

Worth a try, I've had a few bc it's the only thing they could give me when I was pregnant. Sadly they had no effect on my pain, but they also had no negative side effects either?

Definitely worth a try. I had a nerve block done not very painful and no side effects but unfortunately didn’t help my migraines. It was nice while my head was numb for an hour though. Hope it helps you.
