Hi everyone I'm new to the list, I have been dealing with migraines from many years. For some reason two months ago I came down with one that has not went away. What i mean is that it gets really bad then it eases up some then it comes back if I start getting up or start doing things. My migraines have always come on the left side of my head. Some times I know when it's coming because my nose runs and my eye cries. Then the pain sets in, it will last from two days to two weeks and it comes in waves. When it's all in I can't see out of my left eye because of the colors or color I see. When it does go away the exhaustion sets in and then the depression sets in for days. How do you guys deal with it?

Extreme migraine depression
Hi, I have suffered migraines since I was a child many years ago, at that time I was only prescribed with pain killers, which didn,t work to well, its only over the last 10 years that I have had some help, my Doctor prescribed me some migraine treatment called Zomig they dissolve in your mouth and taste quite pleasant my headache disappeared within an hour leaving no side affects, I was on Zomig for about 5 years. I now take Amitriptyline at night to help prevent Migraine and Sumatriptan when I get a migraine attack, they both work well, I don't have to take the Sumatriptan very much now, as the Amitriptyline keep my migraine under control which is 3 to 4 months. So its worth you going to see your doctor to see if he can prescribe with any of these migraine treatments. I hope this is helpful to you.
Good luck hope you get some relief soon.
Pat.
I feel your pain.....having dealt with migraines and other headaches my entire life, i would suggest you go see a good neurologist who specialize in headaches....this and prayer is where i find help and remain hopeful......good luck, what treatments have you tried so far.???
If you migraine is any different from what you normally experience you should make an appointment with your GP.
I would also recommend you get ref to a migraine/headache clinic,
