Today I need an uplifting song because I am getting fed-up of my tiredness right now.
So, today I am fortunate to be staying with a friend and I am currently watching the Now 80s TV channel. You can always rely on the 80s for upbeat music, even if the lyrics might be about chasing after a love the music was always upbeat.
So the song I was listening to that I decided about me my song for today is "The Only Way is Up" by Yazz. Here is a link if you need a reminder of the song or are to young to know it. youtube.com/watch?v=vjD3EVC...
Have a good day.
One step at a time, one day at a time and we can get there.

I'm not really sure I understand your post. I think we all benefit from differant things that help us in times of trouble, Wow. I just felt like singing Let it be. by the Beetles. Lol. For me its music. It's my escape from when I'm feeling anxious, depressed, my legs hurt so bad I find myself crying at times. But I'm lucky to be able to turn to music. It relaxes me. And brings me back to the 70s. Oh how I loved the 70s. I'd go back in a flash if I had the chance. I guess you just have to do whatever works for you. Everyone is differant and has there own things there trying to get through or deal with. Go with whatever works. As long as its Healthy and Happy.
Many songs have many uplifting messages in them, these messages can pass on a feeling of positive thoughts, and expressions.
I always feel Diversions and hobbies are good foe our mood and mental health.

I love going on u tube at any hour of day or night and listening to the song. HALLELUJAH. The Absolute Best Version is sung by Rufus Wainwright called epic nights. You talk about such a feeling of togetherness, I'd love to find a place like this to go to. Hell I'd never leave. Please. Look this song and version up. I promise it will make you smile. Good Luck. Give a shout back. Let me know if this helps with the stinking thinking that might be keeping you awake. This is one of my biggest problems. Been fighting M.S. for many yrs. I have my share of bad days like everyone else. So I keep telling myself. Ok. I was up till 6.00am this morning and had to get back up at 9.00am. So yea. I think I'm tired. But I said that last night also. Lol. Oh well. Everyone keep the chins up. Tom/tj
Its great that you can get a lift from listening to music. One of my favourites is "19 Forever" by Joe Jackson ... I wish!
When I lost my wonderful partner a few years back, I joined a local choir and found this to be hugely uplifting too. Once a week, making new friends and singing my heart out; sometimes in tears as some of the songs we were singing had particularly poignant words and memories, but mostly full of joy at hearing how together the choir could sound so beautiful and realising I had been a part in making that wonderful sound.
There are lots of local choirs - folk, religious, rock choir, and my favourite - Magic Voices - which are fabulous. So join one today!
