Hi catlover,

You may find this information helpful about Zoloft. You should have received inside your medicine box a Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) telling you more about it and how to use it safely. If you are having problems with it or unpleasant side effects then go back to discuss this with your doctor or dispensing pharmacist. Remember that when it comes to medicines, there is no 'one size fits all', and what works for one person, may not for another. Also, bear in mind that everyone may experience different effects. But the overall effect for this medicine is as an anti-depressant.

Just to say too, that this community is a global community, and the American trade name for a medicine is different in the UK or other countries. I did an internet search to find out that Zoloft is the US trade name for Sertraline an SSRI (Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply!

Look in the box your medication came in you will find a leaflet explaining your medication to you. Read this leaflet. You can also find information of NHS CHOICES web page under medications. The main problem here is we are all different when it comes to the drugs we take, what suits on may not suit another.

I have not taken this medication before however your GP can advise with any problems you may have and answers any concerns you may have.
