Oh, andypandy my heart aches for you. Did you up your sertraline to 100 mg? That will surely help you if you didn't. If you did and you're still hurting, you need to let your Dr. know, even if the Dr. isn't the greatest in caring for you. The Dr. should know to increase the sertraline again or try something else.
With this kind of low mood you just have to accept the fact that medicine is called for and you need to take it if you want to feel better. I know you don't like that but I think you have been through enough pain and misery to see that resisting medicine isn't helping you. I do hope you will be open to taking the medicine you need and that you'll be feeling better soon.
You deserve to feel much better. You're such a nice person trying to do the right things. I'll be praying for you and I'm sending lots of XXXXOOOO plus a super big (((((HUG)))))) to you.
Hi Andypandy, sorry for the late response. I am glad you have stopped crying and I hope that you are feeling that little bit better now. I too am waiting for my meds to kick in. Here's hoping that that is soon rather than later for the both of us.
Thank u nath I wish u well . It's hard wen were in the middle of it .i know I just need someone when I feel like this . I was supposed to increase but diddbt but it is time now . Just need to be patient . What are u on?
I was given 50mg sertraline starting on the 27th May when I finally admitted I had a major problem with depression. I had to go back last Friday for a two week check up but was in such a bad way that my GP has increased my dosage to 100mg (I also have to call the surgery every day to give them an update on my emotional state). As yet I am feeling a tiny bit better but I'm unsure as to whether that's the meds or just talking to people on here. I was "strong" for 30 years - it is such a relief to admit needing someone!
Well done nath you deserve to feel better after all uv done . It will take a while to feel a bit stronger emotionally . Took me about 3 to 4 weeks on 50 mg . I'm on Sertraline too . Started on 50 last year then moved up to 75 . Iv needed the increase but was resisting . So hoping 100 will help me too . Everyone's bodies and minds are differrnt .they may work a lot quicker for you . I hope so . You're very lucky to have such a supportive doctor use all resources u can to help you through . X
Thanks Andy, your well wishing means a lot, it's kind, experienced words like yours that keep me going. If you're feeling low and need to chat you can PM me and I'll be here to listen... I do work office hours but I check the forums regularly during the day. I'm just trying to give a bit back. So to add to BonnieSue 's one earlier here's a (((HUG))) both in thanks and in support.
Thank you for tgat sometimes that's what we need to keep us strong . Reassuring words and a hug or two . Suesz has been a rock to me I dont know where id have been without the help and support given . Truly an angel . I like to help others too . It feels better somewhat to know im not alone . It's good that you are keeping busy . And not spending too long thinking about things . Iv been doing too much of that and not seeing to myself . I Tend to hope things will go away until they come bk to bite me . I'm settled now feeling the sunshine on my face and trying to just be and not worry about anything in particular . I need to practice this everyday tho . I did the best icould today and will hope the same for you x
Ok Andy, enjoy that sun and the feeling it brings. You said that you have done your best today.... That's all you CAN do. x
