Incision line not mended together?!

Hey guys I’ve just noticed a part of my incision line has not mended together like it flaps away from each other where as it connects in other places this has seriously scared me 😅 I’m just over 3 weeks post circumcision is this normal?! 😵‍💫

Same thing happened to me, skin didn't knit together where it was stitched. Doctor said it was perfectly normal, just meant it would take an extra couple of weeks to heal completely. They said it shouldn't affect the scar line either when it eventually healed. Just got to keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get infected, stick to showers instead of baths etc

Bruh, I got circumcised a year ago in 21st October, 2020. The incision line has not mended together till now and it's completely swollen!! The swelling scares me a lot! Idk if this is normal or not.

One year?! Have you been sexually active? That’s crazy dude I’m waiting another 3 weeks and IfNot better requesting more stitches 😵‍💫 are you in pain at all?!

Old wound can not be sewed again, after the skin edges has been dry (around 6-24 hrs post-op). If your wound opened the bottom of the wound is not clean anymore and there is your normal bacteria flora. Of course you can support the incision line with surgical tape, but do not try to seal the skin edges 100% together.

Opened wound will heal by secondary intention.

There is no set in stone timeline for an individual healing process. If your wound is healed there is no moist spots or drainage on incision line.

There is no pain, but it looks very scary! The radius of my penis is almost double now. I will have to visit my surgeon next week...
