Like others have suggested, please seek testing for a sexually transmitted infection. Keep in mind that open wounds in general, especially in the the genital or mouth area, allow for easier transmission of chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, and HIV, etc. Definitely use condoms to minimize risk and avoid sex altogether if an open wound is present.
