Circumcision scabs

Are they normal, i have a few. In the shower this morning a big one on the underside split and started bleeding now its open.

Scabs are part of the healing process as they protect the new skin underneath. Do not pick them off. A one that splits will gradually close again.

Thanks, one of the scabs feels like it goes under neath the skin. It feels hard just under where i can see the scab.

Again, I suggest you to cover the wound until it is healed properly. Do apply petroleum jelly or put 'Jelonet' paraffin gauze first, then the bandage or your underwear won't stick in dried blood.

Ok will do, any idea what the hard lump could be? Its just under the scab

It's quite hard to say, but be careful if you already went back to work. Try to avoid hard push or hit to your penis. This is your second week post-op.

I am back to work on monday as i manged to get some more time off, it seems to be healing nicely. It was just in the shower when the scab split slightly, main concer right now is the small lump

I think it's critical time when stitches are loosening, but the wound is not healed yet. In perfect world where resources are limitless, no one would use absorbable sutures on circumcision wound.

I have been taking god care and been gently washing ( with salt water too ) there is a small amount off puss on the top side but i dont think its infected

Yep. There can be yellow crust by dried interstitial fluid on wound. It's not always has to be pus. Take care of wound and it will heal fine.

Hey, I've got a similar case now. Did you identify what the lumps were? When did they go away?
