Has anyone tried lymphatic drainage massages on themselves for the swelling? And does it help the selling go down if done on a daily basis?

I still do it sometimes before bed I’m currently 5 weeks post op, hbu? It isn’t come back but it also hasn’t disappeared all the way

I am 4 weeks post op. I started trying it yesterday but it seems to be slowly coming back each time. But its only been one day so maybe it needs more time. Maybe a combination of drainage massage and icing and bio oil could be good.
For 2 weeks I made it just squeezing the edema. it worked fine but then it stopped to work. Yesterday I went to my doctor and he said that I have to do something more complicated. In particular what I am doing is:
"I put my hand all around the swelling and press it quite strong. After that, you should see that the swelling should be a bit deflated. At this time you concentrate to 1/3 or 1/2 of the swelling and with two or three fingers press it downwards while with the other hand try to lift upwords the skin that is under the swelling. Repeat this thing several times for every part of the swelling. If you see that while you are pressing in a point, another part of the swelling become bigger, you have to enlarge more the skin."
It seems that the edema is a little bit smaller but I started to do just yesterday so it could be just an impression or a case. I will let you know if it works if I remember to comment again here. In any case, I will surely update under my personal post...

What? With erection you don't enlarge the skin and pull the edema under it...
Did your Doctor suggest this technique? And could you please explain it better I don't get the 1/2 to 1/3 part?
Yes, he made it to me and said that I have to do it myself. For 1/3 or 1/2 I mean that you don't have to try to put the whole swelling under the skin but concentrate on a part of it per time.
