aching hands and merina coil

has anyone experienced aching joints (in my case, hands feel arthritic and gp says probably osteoarthritis but no investigation has been done) and maybe linked this to having the merina coil fitted? I had the coil fitted 13 months ago for heavy periods and it was around 12 month mark I developed the aching hands. Wondering if there is a connection.

I have/ had knee osteoarthritis. The pain went when I started HRT and no more flare ups. The oestrogen component I understand, whereas the mirena is progesterone so perhaps an imbalance in the two?

Definitely have aching joints especially hands with my peri menopause. It has been helped with hrt and progesterone. Suggest you ask for a different doctor and see them with list of anything else that may seem small but a more recent change. We all deserve to feel well and pain free.
