Good Days, Then Bad Days!

It's too early for me to post. Apparently u developed viral meningitis off the chickenpox virus May 30 2019. At first, No doctors could figure out what was causing my crazy health issues. After several weeks they found chickenpox virus in my inflamed spinal fluid and blood test, along with my electrolytes being all out of whack. 6 to 7 weeks later I have some days where I think I'm getting better followed by days where I'm back to not better. I caught the stomach flu or something horrible the other day. I battled that for three days, felt a bit better for a day, than back to meningitis weirdness. On days where I feel somewhat normal, I hop on the treadmill or elliptical for a lite walk. I go about 35 to 45 mins. Sometimes, yes, I experience brain fog a little while after. If I feel good from a little exercise at first, mid afternoon I become very warnout and tired. This also plays havoc on my electrolites. I'm am not on any antiviral medication, but am looking into that tomorrow. I think I might need it. If I find any solutions for improved recovery I will certainly pass it on. So far, its been waves of good, then bad, then good, then bad again.

Hi

I too contracted meningitis via the VZV chickenpox virus.

I was hospitalised for a couple of days , lumber puncture etc.

To give you some hope - after a few weeks of having the odd dizzy spell etc - I seem to be on the mend, apart from being having picked up a cough and a stomach bug over the last few weeks ( I am never normally unwell , assuming it’s because my immune system took a battering).

Hang in there - it’ll get better
