Curious if neck pain was more one sided for most or few? I felt most of the pain radiating from right side of my neck.
Did anyone have to consciously think to swallow?
Did anyone have cramps in the arms? Then to the legs?
The pain reminds me of when I was a kid and I’d jump off something high and land of my feet how it would sting, but this was the way my limb pain felt and lasted hours.
I didn’t go to hospital bc I do not have insurance.

mine is always the right side , still got it today ..
Neck pain: Entire neck was stiff when meningitis was active. Painful electrical sensation when I attempted to bend head. Now, pain is left-sided, but I suspect that's due to mastoiditis (mastoid surgery next week.)
Swallowing: I have multiple sclerosis; dysphagia was first symptom. Remembering to swallow (and blink): quite honestly, don't know if meningitis made these autonomic functions worse.
Muscle cramps: Had rhabdomyolysis with both bouts of meningitis, which caused severe spasms, above and beyond MS spasms. Creatine kinase at one point was 19000; normal is <200. Dehydration from vomiting will cause spasms and electrolyte depletion, the latter of which will exacerbate spasms.
