Viral meningitis

I fought meningitis a couple years ago and nothing has been the same since. I had it in 2014 and now i have short term memory loss , vision problems , seizures and anxiety. I cant do bright lights or flashing lights. The past few weeks ive had a reaccuring headache and pain in neck. Also feet and leg pain. Im not sure whats happening but im wandering if any of you know whether meningitis can reoccur

Sorry to hear you're suffering, I had VM oct 16 i was 8 weeks post partum and have not been the same since with all the same side effects you mention here. 8 weeks ago my symptoms got worse the head aches got worse memory loss confusion etc so my GP sent me to a&e thankfully it wasn't a new infection but apparently it was a "relapse" im under a neurologist who i seen last week and hes started me on propanolol as he seems to think its chroic migraine im suffering from with chronic fatigue which at the moment does seem to be easing the intensity of the side effects so maybe discuss with your GP referring you. Yes it can reoccurring I have had it 2 times in this Sept and last August it sucks

I have read where many have had meningitis again.Some several times. It has been amost 3 years since I had meningoencephlitis. It almost killed me. My life hasn't been the same since. I have all the after effects as the others have mentioned on here. Wish I had better news but I am all so 67 years old. Prayers for you Cuescutie.
