Hi All I had a blip and was sent back to hospital Friday (by my g.p via ambulance ) due to being in agony with the back of my head , dizziness and nausea . Had CT and Lumbar puncture again and bloods . This time had a 2 night stay and obs done .
Still the same outcome as before but this time they are advising my gp to refer me to a Neurologist so at least may have some follow up this time .
Seems like I am back to the beginning 28 days later but I am armed with the knowledge and advice you have all given me previously, I also met a lady in the bed next to me who had viral meningitis 15 years ago and she got through it but like everyone has said give you're body time, rest and don't be hard on yourself as that only puts you back .

Please give my daughter's story a read on this site. Rosie S's Story. Here lies sugnificant success (from what we know so far), for complete recovery from VM!
She suffered for near on two years before discovering meningitis now, subsequently trying cranial massage by visiting an independant cranial osteopath in her area.
All the symptoms you are experiencing are pretty much similar to what she suffered. It seems the key, and recent breakthrough, is releasing the spinal fluid which VM leaves a blockage for...and enabling it to flow again through your body, particularly your head.
There are some on this sight who have now given it a go after reading about it, and after just a couple of sessions, felt considerable relief.
I the last few days Rosie and I have been contacted by the media, news papers and radio to tell our story of this potential breakthrough!
We now feel we want to help as many poor people who have suffered this dreadful illness for which before now seemed there was no light at the end of the tunnel.
Good luck and please keep posed how you get on if you try this amazing treatment. Rosie coupled this with acupuncture, having alternate treatments once a week, now a couple of months in. Xx
Hi there your story is pretty much the same as mine, although I'm a few weeks ahead. I had the second L.P. and had severe -ve pressure headaches after and was referred to neurology. The neurology team were amazing and actually fully understood what was happening to my body. They treated me for two types of headache, chronic post meningitis and -ve pressure post L.P. I am currently in the process of adapting medication to facilitate Chronic headache but am making progress! I can stand up again. It is very difficult and there are no short term answers but you will have more success with your neurology team. Trust them. I hope you are feeling better soon x
