Suffering from VM for 4 weeks

Hey everyone. 4 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Viral meningitis after having strong headaches, stiff neck and confusion (I went to a shop and had troubles expressing myself to the vendor..) and I was taken to the hospital. In this site I found for the first time (!) usable information and people writing about the same issues I suffer from.

I'm from Israel and most of the online info about VM in Hebrew seems like being copied and pasted from one site to another. Maybe because only 100 people get meningitis in the hole country every year...

so first, i'm glad to read that it's completely reasonable that after 4 weeks i'm still feeling up & down.. one day is fine and the next day can be a nightmare. especially when its 36 degrees Celsius outside.

my question: I wanted to ask any of you who had VM and got well, how many days in a row should pass until I can understand the the virus is gone and i'm back to reality?

Hi Sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with VM. In my case it took months for the headaches to go. The mind fog exhaustion etc hasn't left me after nearly a year. Be kind to yourself and don't be pressured into going back to your full activities too soon. Seek medical advice.
