Bacterial Meningitis - Brucella... Anyone Else??

Hello Everyone! So grateful to have found this forum! I was just diagnosed. My onset began 9/2/14. I was initially misdiagnosed with viral, but when the pain meds weren't touching the head pain i returned to the ER (4 days later). I found out my culture had grown bacteria. The story gets even more complex, but the infectious disease doctor and Mayo Clinic identified my bacteria as Brucella. From what I understand, it is rare, and I want to find people who have or have had this too. I was told i must have inhaled the bacteria while being around livestock. Thank you for any and all support!!! This has changed my life as a wife and mother of a three year old and an eight year old daughter. Thanks again
