My son had meningitis just after his first birthday and seems to be fine now, he has his check up on august, I am wondering if anyone's little ones got after effects or problems a while after having the illness? It has now been 3 months since he had it.

I was very sorry to read that your son had meningitis 3 months ago but pleased that he seems to be making a good recovery. Serious after effects are normally apparent at the time of illness. If you do have any concerns it is important to speak to your GP or Health Visitor. The Meninigitis Trust/Meningitis UK has a 24-hour nurse led helpline 0808 80 10 388.
