Hi, I have a 12mm left parasagittal meningioma which has been monitored over the past 4 or 5 years and has been growing about 1 mm per year. I was recently contacted by an oncologist who suggested I have it treated by Stereotactic Radiosurgery. This seems to carry a lot of unpleasant side effects so I am very worried about it. I don't have any symptoms at present. I was also told that if I didn't choose the SRS then the monitoring would stop, which I was surprised at and quite concerned why that would be.
Has anyone had SRS and what was the outcome? What would others do?
Hello, yes I've had it, getting the cage fitted was very painful but the procedure wasn't painful at all and I haven't had any side effects from it I'm pleased to say !
Good news is my tumour doesn't appear to have grown any since, touch wood x
