Having had large meningioma surgically removed in 2010 I now have just been diagnosed with another on opposite side.Just wondering has anyone had this happen. Can someone be prone to getting them?.

Hi there

Sorry to read that... I had a 5cm meningioma removed in 2014 ... had a MRI in August this year and just found out a 5mm has been found in a different place... this will grow

I had 3 options

1. They keep an eye on it

2. Radiotherapy

3. Operation to remove

I have asked for it to be removed and hoping to get this done in November, god willing ...

hope this helps and always here if you want to chat

Take care and stay strong and positive ... you got through this once like me and we can do it again 💙🙏🏻
