Positive supported living experiences

HelloDoes anyone one have positive experiences of supported living in surrey? Any supported living companies that provide good and flexible care? Do they allow residents to go back "home" to see parents and pets at weekends? Are you allowed to go out as you please? I have spoken to a couple of companies who seem quite rigid.

Hi my 48 year old son moved into supported living last May. We live in Surrey. He shares a house with 2 others. There is a Social Landlord who maintains the house, ie the HB for the rent, they share the cost of Utilities. Then there is a Care Company who support the tenants. Each tenant has a care plan to determine what support they each need.

I would assume your son / daughter ‘s support will be funded by SS , so they will determine what support they need. In the discussion you have you can discuss if they are safe and able to go out on their own. None of our tenants are able safely to go out on their own. My son comes home every 2 weeks just for one night. We don’t have any problems the support staff are excellent and my son is very happy.
