my 58 yrold daughter has pmld. She lives in supported living on her own with funding from CHC for 2 carers 24/7.
I heard on the grape vine that 2 carers had taken her out in the afternoon in her motability car.. (That’s great). However she had gp appointment later in the day. So they returned to her flat, and for some reason, which I do not know, left her on her own in the car, strapped in her wheelchair, whilst they returned into the apartment themselves. First I was told it was for 30mins,,but the time I have been told varies.
nowi need some advice. Do I just let this go or do I hit the roof with the care provider which I think may lead to dismissal of carers. They do not know I am aware.
Thanks for your help.

Hi I think this has to be taken up with the care provider as is unacceptable and potentially harmful. At the very least with the carers if you trust them to listen and act on your concerns? In my experience carers will raise their game if they know you are aware of things, personally I would go to their manager, good luck 😊
Hi I'm wondering where the information was coming from re the time scale your daughter was left in the car. I think it's best to approach the carers first and just politely ask if there was a reason for leaving her in the car. That way they will know that info DOES get back to you but you are giving them a chance to explain.
PS I've been in your position many years and I'm also 80 year woman/mother
