Although I run my own DJ business A.C.Knell Entertainment I am also an established Marketing professional with years of experience working with many big and small companies. As a committee member I wanted to give back to this lovely club and I donated my services for free with the rebuild of the local Mencap Newhaven, Lewes & District website.

As well as the new website, we had to rebuild our Facebook page, due to an unfortunate incident involving a former volunteer at the club had abused her power by shutting down the old page which the Mencap Newhaven, Lewes & District had worked hard building, So I was tasked with building a new Facebook page which is flourishing today: facebook.com/MencapNewhaven

The website has some lovely photos of our members from various events over the past year and we plan to keep building on this with lots of news, interactive features and updates of upcoming events we plan to bring to you all in the future.

Visit: newhavenmencap.org.uk/ to see our website for your local Mencap club in Newhaven, Lewes & District, East Sussex.

Hi, website looks great. We're in Eastbourne. Does your club cover Eastbourne? I didn't know there were local groups so be keen to find out more for my daughter. Thanks

Hi Sarah, sorry for the delay, there are members events on each month which can range from Quiz, Music and Karaoke nights. A typical weekly event gives our members the chance to talk and get to know each other, refreshments available at the bar. We have board games available, table top football as well as a sensory room.

You're more than welcome to pop along and see what the club is about.
