Supporting Adults with LD in dating and relationships

I support adults with LD and have been increasingly asked by the people I support about relationships. I have two questions relating to this. Firstly, I see several reputable agencies who specialise in this, however I am unaware of any in our area of Kent around Ashford or Tunbridge Wells, so any recommendations would be gratefully received.

Second is concerns over an individual who has become infatuated with a member of staff and has shown concerning behaviours around his mental health. The boundaries between residents and staff have been explained to him and I am aware addressing his loneliness could have a positive impact on his wellbeing. However, I find it a Catch-22 situation whereby I feel he needs to do some work around relationships and his mental health before he dips his toe in. He longs for companionship but am also aware of how quickly his state of mind can deteriorate, and don’t think a ‘relationship easy read’ is really sufficient to keep both himself and potentially others correctly safeguarded.
