Help with a diagnosis

Hi I have joined today to ask for advice my child has had many assessments she has an ehcp but does not yet have a diagnosis its frustrating does anyone know where we can get more help as the educational psychologist just keeps saying she is borderline on all her tests but I want a diagnosis this has been going on years any help greatly appreciated thanks

Hi I don’t know that I can help but sympathise. My daughter is 17 she has an ehcp but no diagnosis except, moderate learning difficulties. At the time of working on ehcp she wasn’t at state school so I had to pay for education psychologist testing. I don’t know whether it was more thorough because I paid for nearly a day of an Ed psychs time but that report has opened many doors and 6 years later it is still helpful. ( though I am considering another one). It’s expensive and may be out of the question but for my daughter it was worth it.

Thankyou for your reply..We get these paid for she had an assesment last week the lady said she has traits of all difrent things but nothing that points in the direction of a particular diagnosis she stated that sometimes children don't get a diagnosis its frustrating because I just want to help her but I can't because I'm not a teacher im not sure where to start
