New campaign action - we'd love your support!

Hello everyone,

We know that many of you have had a difficult time over the past few months with cuts/reduction to the support you get from social care.

Mencap are calling on the government to inject some emergency funding into social care to ensure that disabled people's needs are being met. This is part of our Hidden Social Care Crisis campaign.

We've launched a new e-action where people can send a message to their MP asking them to support the campaign. The government is announcing their spending plans on 25th November, so we need MPs to write to the Treasury asking for emergency funding. (The e-action is just for people in England, as governments in Wales, NI and Scotland get funding for social care in a different way).

If you live in England and you've been affected by cuts to your social care support, you might be interested in taking part in this e-action.

It's really simple - you just need to fill in your name and address and it will bring up a template message to your local MP.

You can then share your own personal story in the message. It's really important that MPs hear what's happening to local people.

The link is here: secure.mencap.org.uk/en-gb/...

If you have any questions, just let me know.

Many thanks, Victoria (Campaigns Officer)
