Well after the phone call I was waiting for I was told by the paediatrician that they felt my son didn't meet the criteria for an autism diagnosis.

2 weeks after the phone call the report came through the post. It was smaller than I'd imagined . It basically says that the difficulties my son has is "likely" to be due to having moderate learning difficulties. Which for me doesnt actually give me that clear definite answer . Does this mean it is or are they uncertain themselves ?

The main part that annoyed me the most was when I started reading the report in the section where they talk about the places they receive evidence from lo and behold my ex partner my sons dad had had email correspondence with the paediatrician in march 2020. Which is something I had no idea about. My ex partner had also been into the boys school at around the same time to express his views on our son. Which his view is that our son doesnt have any learning difficulties at all even though this was diagnosed by a professional. I know that given the bigger picture my ex views wouldn't have much of an influence on the final decision however I do feel rather stabbed in the back .
