Hello Soczela

Thanks for getting in touch. Are you particularly worried about travelling during coronavirus, or is it about travelling at anytime?

Brake have some information about road safety - brake.org.uk/facts-resource...

Do you get any support with your son, or is it always you with him when you travel? If your son has a social worker you should talk to them about it.

There is some information about transport on Mencap's website too - mencap.org.uk/advice-and-su... which says what your rights are.

Are you worried about travelling to particular places? For example school. If so it would be worth talking to them about it.

Our helpline is working very hard during the coronavirus lock down, but you can still get in touch with them via their online form - mencap.org.uk/contact/conta... They may be able to help suggest other ideas.

Best wishes

Sarah

Hello again

Mencap support people with a learning disability. We offer lots of different support.

I think it would be a good idea to call our helpline on 0808 808 1111 to see how we can help. The phones are very busy at the moment so it might be worth filling out this form instead, and then they will get back in touch with you - mencap.org.uk/contact/conta...

There may also be a Mencap group near where you live. Search on here - mencap.org.uk/search/groups

I really hope this helps.

Thanks

Sarah
