Hello Lauramona2020
I have just asked about this and all our retail stores are closing on Saturday. Here is the statement Mencap have put out about this
"Mencap retail store closures - we have taken the decision to close our retail stores, to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and supporters. The stores will close by 12 noon on Saturday 21 March and remain closed until it is deemed safe to reopen to the public. Retail staff are not being made redundant or being laid off, and we will be looking from next week how we can begin preparing stock for reopening, expanding on line trading and redeploying staff to other areas of the business."
Best wishes
Sarah
Hello. Here is a quick update on our shops -
‘We have been working hard to make preparations for reopening our stores, with our main focus being the safety of our teams and customers. We will be opening our stores over a phased period of time so we can adjust to social distancing measures we have put in place and to give the maximum support to our team.
We begin this phased opening with a trial of two stores, with our Bury Donation Station and Walkden stores which are currently planned to open on the 25th June 2020.’
Many thanks
Sarah
So nothing about the one in Sherwood
Hello again
There is another update on Mencap's shops. The Sherwood one is still currently closed but they are doing a phased opening of them so hopefully it won't be long.

"The easing of some restrictions around the coronavirus pandemic means we have been working hard to reopen some of our shops. Our main focus is the safety of our teams and customers.
We will be opening our shops over a phased period of time so we can adjust to social distancing measures and give the maximum support to our teams. Opening hours and the way we take donations may also be affected depending on the shop.
"
Thanks
