Image attached: does this skin reaction look familiar?

I should start by saying it ISN'T a rash or allergic reaction. It has very specific triggers: heat or anything that warms my internal temperature, i.e. hot drink, anger, stress, panic, etc.

But it comes hand in hand with a chronic, painful pins and needles feeling in my hands, feet, legs, shoulders and back. It started about 9 months ago, very occasionally, just in my feet. Then the pins and needles spread to my hands and feet and was sometimes painful too. Now it attacks almost my entire body, feels like a painful bout of pins and needles, it comes in waves and then after a couple of minutes these spots appear on my arms and hands.

Once the pins and needles pass, the red spots disappear. They don't hurt or itch, but the pins and needles does, under my skin.

I'm thinking it has to be neurological. Anybody have any thoughts? I have more than just this picture, but I can only post one. It also doesn't quite capture the severity of it properly.
