Sticky blood: Hi all, has anyone heard... - Myalgic Encephalo...
Sticky blood
Daughter diagnosed with CFS when she was 13, then diagnosed with sticky blood last year. (She's 19) Both consultants differ in their opinions. The CFS consultant said that many patients of his that go to the London Bridge Lupus clinic are also diagnosed with sticky blood (but I, her mum had multi bilateral PE's a few years ago and was diagnosed 2 years ago). Prof Khamashta reckons that her CFS is actually all sticky blood symptoms, but we just have different meds for different symptoms and she manages (she's very marginal sticky blood blood test results). I have never had CFS, so don't know but many symptoms are similar, and sometimes when people go onto blood thinners there CFS symptoms can go, or lessen.
Thank you so much for your kind reply and for taking the time. I have a suspicion that the two conditions are related as I have severe cfs type symptoms but have also had blood clots. I kind of joined the dots myself. Now I need to get tested for sickly blood and see if my suppositions were correct. You have been a great help. I wish you and your daughter the best of health and a happy springtime xxx
Hi,
Yes i also have 'hues' thick sticky blood & associated rynards
There is a small percentage of M.E patients that go on to develop Lupus as well which is wot these things are more commonly associated with.
The skin molttling, wen ur body is cold is a sure sign of thick blood
Trouble is the cold does help with the pain in my muscles and joints!
They are much worse wen i get hot
Even if i dont no im too hot!
Lol
I have ME but not confirmed sticky blood. It does run in my family as my sister has sticky blood. I have had 3 miscarriages though and next time I get pregnant they will put me on aspirin to thin my blood to not restrict the blood flow through the placenta then hopefully I won't loose the baby again. So it does make me think it's related I'm definitely going to ask my doctor x
