Excellent (we did say elapse time, so I'll put the full time in; thanks for giving us both). Hard to resist photo stops on a gorgeous day like to day when you're running somewhere as lovely as you do π
Hi Linda, Katnap and I did a HM today. A very slow HM as my tummy wasnβt very good. According to Strava we got to 10 miles 2:01:48. No records were going to be broken today!
Excellent! Well done. I'll use the 1:26. We opted for elapse time to reflect what happens in a real race, but not elapse time over a much longer distance (although every now and again that happens in real races too and is never welcome!) π
Mad indeed in those temps π Why not give us a time for the first 10 miles or the best 10 miles that strava calculates? I bet those last 5k added quite a bit - they'd be the hottest, tiredest 5k too!!!
Hello! Thanks for including me, really gave me something to aim for. I started at 8am Sunday and did 10k in 1hr 08mins 47secs, then carried on a bit longer!! Did 12.5k by the end!
Woohoo, you did it! That's what counts. Suddenly being so warm hasn't really helped π It's amazing how close the ten mile times are! So be proud of yourself for seeing it through, despite it feeling tough π₯°
My elapsed time for the 10k was 1:22:48. Would I be able to be added to the 10 mile, since I have a half marathon this coming Sunday? Or is it too late? No worries itβs too late.
Brilliant! Well done for going out despite the late start. Late starts are my speciality since retiring π. The run reports have been fab haven't they.
Hi linda9389 , my Bristol 10k time was 1:25:40. The 1:25 pacer was quite a way behind me when I crossed the line too, so I think he misjudged it a bit! π
I'm always a bit suspicious of the pacers in a big event; unless they start at the exact same time as you, there time bears no relation to your own. Sometimes it's impossible to stick with your pacer through the approach to the line. Great time though Cheeky πππ
I agree, it all seems very random I must admit. I was happy with my time, even though it was nowhere near a PB. The fact I got round in the very warm conditions was a win for me! π
Not a good run, too soon after lunch on Thursday, running with indigestion is not good, so the last 3 km I was mainly walking, I was going to try again this morning but my back is objecting to all the gardening it has done over the last few days. I am going to rest it. My time was 1:12:18.
You ran a tough but perfectly legitimate 10k so you need to make sure the next run is fun and enjoyable π. Resting until the gardening aches are gone sounds like the perfect decision!
My 10k time was 1.03.38 . Did a bit of a trail run and mt blinking Achilles is still causing issues, it just refuses to leave me alone! Have to say the music list was absolutely brilliant, kept me going which I really needed after a crappy week.
Thank you team for organizing this, as realize how time consuming it must have been.
