Does anyone have experience of an online running club?
I am torn...I find these forums helpful but there are a couple of online clubs offering cheap membership and England athletic affiliate with other perks such as online training support

Hi! I do not have experience of virtual clubs, but I'm interested to find out if anyone else has. Which ones have you been looking at?
Of course joining a club and using these forums are not mutually exclusive, although I appreciate that you will have less time for us if you join a club πππ
roseabi...I obviously always jump in here first...my first love.πππ...there from my very first outing with C25kπ. Run Mummy Run have just opened the online running club . Price approx Β£18 a year...with England Athletic affiliation around Β£30.
I'm not sure if I would get much benefit...I love running alone, if I need anything advice wise I pop here and either find the answer or ask a question
They do have certain professional advisors but I still think some of it would be lost in the virtual world. π€
Iβm a member of a local running club which has a Strava group. I always run on my own due to heart rate training except for Park Run. We have a leaderboard so itβs inspiring to see other runners getting out there each week. It also helps me discover new routes as my distance goes up. The best thing though is we get a discount to a running shop which has already paid for our membership.
I couldn't really see anything I could get from it GoGo_JoJo. I seem to be able to get it all here....except running vest....and I do prefer my own kit...
Iβve been wondering about joining a club for some time, for motivation rather than company on the runs, so interested to know what you find. A club where I donβt have to meet them sounds ideal for me. π€£
There are a few online running clubs. They mostly provide running forums, advice and maybe some training plans with everyone doing the same runs each week. Very similar to this forum! They have kit so you can recognise other members at events. Run mummy run has launched a new run club affiliated with EA which gives some discount perks. Lonely goat is one I see regularly at events.
I have no experience of virtual running clubs either, but if I was to join a running club Iβd like to be with real people , and train in a group. Our local clubs seem to have great fun and are very supportive. The annual fee is only about Β£25- Β£30 too.
I'm on two running forums: Lonely Goats and Running Woman. Running Woman is very positive and supportive. Lonely Goats is a bit more hard core and competitive. I just tend to lurk on that one.I also sometimes use the Nike running club app. It has loads of useful information and guided runs.
