In a time far, far, away (UK lockdown v3 March 2021) I did something a bit mad.
The lockdown rules were that you could only go outside one time for your daily exercise. There was a club virtual 2 mile race and I had some new shoes to help speed me along to a new PB for this distance.
The thing was, I needed more miles for my LEJOG9 so I picked up some provisions I'd put to one side and proceeded to do the longest WD ever... an FM!
Strava reckoned the Relative Effort was 235 for the FM and 44 for the 2 mile race.
I was very tired after that 🤣
Still recovering 🤣🤣🤣

Morrison’s did a relaunch (publicised on here by someone) so I bought a load. This was the last one before it reached its best before date. They were a decent size too, unlike the current ones.
I did work out recently that using the exponential growth of the 10% rule, you get a doubling about every eight weeks. So theoretically (and pushing at the limits) you could go from 5km to 10km, 10km to HM, and HM to FM in about 6 months total. You'd be pushing things hard to do it that quickly, however.
According to Strava you’re currently on 707 miles. How the heck have you managed to do exactly 1/3 of the target in exactly 4 months? 😳 Well done by the way 💥🙌👏🏻
3x gels, 2x flapjacks, 2x handfuls of shelled pistachio nuts, and not enough water. Can't remember if there was anything else...Luckily I knew someone en route and begged for a top up of my water bottle during the 2nd half of the run. 👍
I did walk when eating the nuts. If / when I do it again I would save the nuts for recovery food after the run has finished just because they seemed so nourishing!
This is brilliant Katnap , congratulations, both on the run and the thinking! "Time to unleash the provisions. I am just going outside and may be some time."
