Decisions, Decisions, Decisions, I was in two minds at 7.15 am this morning whether to wear my long sleeve top and my long sleeve jacket or wear the short sleeve top with the long sleeve jacket π€ I kept looking at the temperature for outside and kept thinking back to note to self from Wednesdays run ππ»ββοΈ re hat gloves shirts tops. I opted for the short sleeve top and lighter weight gloves and Iβm pleased to say I made the right decision for the planned 18k run as part of the training for Spring HUHM, the weather was dry slightly cool but great for running in and the tow path whilst muddy in parts was nowhere near the slippery mud bath of the previous week thank goodness.
All my planning of new routes and spurs and the ability to add extra distances have all fell into place and whilst I was slower for the last 2k it was the longest distance run since last December I was really pleased how it went. Once home I discovered Iβd ran a PR for 10 miles and 15k that soon perked up my tired legs!
Next clothes check for me when am I brave enough to change to running shorts?
Happy running everyone ππ»ββοΈ

Fabulous! Those are brilliant PRs for a long run. I did similar. Spent five minutes reminding myself how overheated I'd been on my last run and how I'd made a mental note to be brave next time. I was still pretty warm!!!
Same, I think we've all been getting a bit overheated on our long runs as the weather has slowly improved...it was 10 degrees with an occasional cool wind here this morning so I decided on my first run of the year in capris and t-shirt knowing I'd soon warm up. I have to say, I've not been brave enough for shorts yet but if we have a summer like last year it is definitely happening π
Well done on your PR, they are few and far between these days ππ
