So I've just hit the half way mark on the LeJog challenge. Before I started this challenge I had only ever run 3 half marathons. I think I understand now the basics of endurance.
Endurance is the runs we all do, no matter how small, no matter how long, no matter who cares; it is the stamina we all have that makes us run.
I was embarrassed when I first told people. runners...i might add..that I was actually thinking of embracing a run walk technique for my long weekly run.
Well. I surprised myself, Since October last year I've Jeffed out around 20 HM distances. With no injuries. TailChaser thank you for the Yogurt stuff
What has surprised me is I no longer care about speed and PB's. We can all be fast in our own way. When I want to be I will be. That's because I have worked towards it, ran the hills, ran the speed sessions, run and walked in the sleet, snow and hail.
I am fit, I am fast and I will endure. Thank you Couch 2 5K for changing my life.
Love you all
Steve

Well done on your LEJOG Windoze. A bit of jeffing can improve a long run immensely, and there are many who complete all their runs using the Galloway method. 20 HMs is something to be very proud of.
Just think how many chocolate brownies you’ve worn off in that time. 😂
I have watched in awe as you have progressed over the past few weeks. I can’t believe how far you have come in such a short time. And you are going fast too (even if you don’t think so)!
errrm... I'll just say it quietly because I'm only just back to 10k so it's feeling a bit ambitious, hence the intention to Jeff from the outset!!! trails.london-revolution.co...
An interesting post from you Windoze, congratulations on your Lejog, halfway mark and jeffing out 20 HM.
I have only ran one ten miles run, that was non stop last July, I was thinking if I ever did run a HM I could run the first 10 miles non stop, for the last 5K I might Jeff, walk/run, I am thinking about that.
I’m a newbie lurking here and I’ve seen references to LeJog but hadn’t looked it up till today. Looks great! I’m training for a very slow first marathon in March but, as it will probably be cancelled, am keen to give myself some motivation to keep up the miles after the plan ends. LeJog could be it! I’m also Jeffing the long runs and, touch wood, have avoided injury so far.
Thank you for properly bringing LeJog into my awareness and good luck with it!
