After months, almost years, of wanting to upgrade my cheap Chinese fit watch, I've finally got me a nice new Forerunner 45, thanks to Amazon and their Black Friday Bargains.
It arrived this morning and I had to get out and run with it tonight - a fairly fast 5k.
Was brilliant to be able to glance at the watch and see how I'm doing, mainly paying attention to the min/mile Pace display.
I know it's Garmin's entry level watch, and I'm sure I'll soon be wishing I got the next model up, but there is still plenty of data to sift through, and navigating around the app and watch is going to take some getting used to.
But tonight's run certainly felt like it benefitted from that FR45. Running on my own is always alot slower and harder than when I'm with a group or taking part in an event, but knowing how far I had left and how fast I was going, helped me push it a little harder.
I think I've just found my latest competitor.... Myself from my previous run! π€£
