Oh dear! I just succumbed to temptation. A chance email. A slip of the fingers ...
A virtual Duathlon organised by F3 events. Sprint, Olympic or Middle distance. There was no information as to how far those distances actually are. I do know the distance definitions vary in indicidual races, so I checked F3s other events - sprint distance being the shortest at 5k, 20k, 5k.
My only previous attempt at a duathlon was 5k, 20k, 2,5k (on my own for fun, not an event) so that's not much further I thought, I should be OK I thought. Card details entered, buttons pressed.
Confirmation email received.
Distance 35k!!!! Not sure if that's 10k, 20k, 5k or some other combination. But it's certainly further than I've done before. Hey ho. Looks like I'm racing this weekend (that's right, no time to prepare) π ... and before anyone says anything, all I've had tonight is ginger beer and hot chocolate π€£.
Edit: I have looked at last year's event. It was 5k run, 24.5k ride, 5k run. Yay! I can do that (I think)
Edit 2: just received an email - 5k, 20k, 5k (not sure how that adds to 35k, but hey, I'm back where I thought I started π)
