Hi, Anyone using Summit on Strava? Umming and ahing about it. I train alone, running only and I was wondering if it would help give some structure. I like other things on Strava like the PRs etc.
Any thoughts please?

Strava are always trying to give me a free 30-day trial of Summit, so I'm sure you'll get that offer at some point! Just be careful to cancel it in good time if you decide you don't want it 😊😊😊
I invested in Garmin tech and that provides loadsa stats. If you're logging your runs using the Strava app then the extra info might be useful if you can also record heart rate.

I use it in part (I don’t use or pay for Beacon). It’s a personal thing I reckon. I like it, though it’s probably a bit overpriced. But I like playing with stats and I read around the background to learn what matters, what doesn’t, what’s reliable and what isn’t. Which I know isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. There’s a fair degree of approximation involved in GPS, HRM etc so knowing a bit about it can reduce anxiety about (for example) heart rate readings that look too high but are just imprecise.
Someone above mentioned the Garmin app has a lot if stats and that’s true. I didn’t have a Garmin watch when I first subscribed to Strava. What Strava provides isn’t exactly the same but there’s some overlap: if your using a Garmin then the question of whether the Summit subscription is worth the money becomes yet more complicated.
It really is a matter of personal preference and what you choose to spend your money on.
I somehow gained access to the full Summit membership for free at one point (probably a promotion) but didn’t really see the added advantage over just the training package (which I did buy). Seems a bit over-priced imho, but good data/extra info if you are not too price sensitive. Having bought the right running gear and a running watch, I ’m sort of going back to basics and a `less is more` kind of approach these days though, and I`m not as interested in the tech/bells and whistles as I was before..
I have it - not the beacon part, but the other two bits. Not sure it gives me a whole lot though to be honest. Garmin and basic strava cover most of it. I'll probably just let it renew though 😂
i use strava (free version) and garmin. I did get the free month trial, but personally I wouldnt buy it for what i need/use
I am quite tempted with this, just for Beacon. As I'm running further on my own, I'd just feel a bit more comfortable if I could let my husband know where I was. But that's the only feature I really want, so I'm hesitant to pay for it on Strava as I'm sure there will be another way.
I do 🙋🏼♀️ And I’m also a lone runner . I’ve had it ages and to be honest I’ve forgotten what the extras are but all good I’m sure 😂
