Sooo one of my challenges next year involves a bit of walking...(boo I hear you l say). The 3 peak challenge is on the agenda but imma hitting all 3 in 24hrs with a group of fellow nutters. April is the planned date and will probably die doing it πππ but that's half the fun hey? π€Άπ π²

Windows goes walking
April? I assumed it would be mid summer with the shorter nights - you really are a nutter! Are you doing it for charity? Thatβs going to be some 24 hours, all the very best of luck!
Wow thatβs brave! I often thought of doing it but the night walking is not that appealing (among other issues). Let us know how the training goes!
Amazing I wish you well.
I know the Ben Nevis Track very well although always usually came down it.Generally ascent was a different route.
Although the mountain track/ tourist path from the Youth hostel Glen Nevisπ€is fairly straight forward.
Not like the beginning of the pyg track, huge boulders to begin ,first 500m, but after that it is one of the most beautiful walks in the world returning on the miners track.WOW.Its a beautiful route on and off Snowdon and back to your starting point.Pen y Passπ€βοΈππ
Pen y Pass is just one of the most amazing sights on the planet Tbae π
Wow sounds like you know the routes well Tbae this will be my first venture into the climbs ππ
Hi Windoze,
I know Ben Nevis from 55 years ago.Kinlochleven is my home.
I know Snowdon a little as I live on Anglesey over 30 years.Should know it much better. You will enjoy the pyg track and the miners track to Pen y Pass even although itβs the final ascent.
Do not know Scafell Pike although love the Lake District.
My Aussie son in law has done this as a younger man, must ask him how he found it.Not sure if he did the 4 peak π€ event also.
Will let you know his findings. As you said, they had a designated driver.π
This is as much of a driving challenge as walking. Personally, I preferred the prospect of less travel and one continuous hike of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks that I completed earlier this year. Gorgeous scenery and all in daylight. Anyway, hiking is great wherever you go. So good luck with your challenge - hope you enjoy it π
Wowsers Windoze, epic challenge! Nutter? Absolutely! But I have every confidence that youβll succeed and have a blast doing so. π ππ
I'm also wondering why April, but anyway that looks fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have no idea why it's in April π
I am sooooo jealous, I have always wanted to do that!!!
No boo-ing from me, I love walking, it's that and a fitbit that 1st got me into running...mountain climbing not so much though π
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?! π³, I bet you'll love it π
There's probably less people who have done 3x peaks in 24 hrs than have done a marathon, so extra kudos there if you make it.
