13 months ago, I started Couch to 5k, today I completed my first 1/2 marathon.
I’ve been watching the weather all week, and worried about the storms, and worried that the event would be cancelled, I then worried that all my training and enthusiasm would have to wait for another event, but no, it went ahead and all was good.
It was such a lovely course, running the Sussex country lanes, and through Christ’s Hospital School (an amazing building)
The rain was refreshing and welcome, and the winds not too bad, we had encouragement from lots of locals, and bands playing at various points around the route.
According to strava it took 2hours 37, but I’m just waiting to see what the chip time gives me.
I hope everyone else who was running today had a good time, I’m off to take it easy for a couple of days.
