After running my 3rd half marathon 2 weeks ago, I needed a new objective and received lots of welcome advice here. Well, today I ran my first 'fast' race. I tried to break my personal best for the first time and had fun doing it. Before, I just wanted to finish without having to stop. 30 minutes was my goal for today in a 5k but with the heat by the sea and being held up at the start by all the other participants in the 5k, 10k and half marathon (lots of holdups in the first kilometre), I thought I wouldn't do it. But I did. Now going to try and get 1 hour or less in the 10k. But first another 5k at the end of March. Watch this space!

Congratulations! Chasing PBs is horribly addictive isn't it I read somewhere that you can potentially keep improving for nine years before you plateau (disclaimer: no idea where I read this, it may have been Facebook so probably not true. But I took it to heart anyway), so here's to many more!
