After the brutal experience of last year's London Marathon (Achilles injury 5 weeks before, then the hottest ever LM, mobile toe-nail at mile 21 etc etc) and limping home in 4h:16 when i'd originally (and probably over-optimistically) targeted 3:30, I was left with a very strong feeling of unfinished business with the marathon distance. I waited until mid September to resume running again (a 5 month break from all exercise) and took things very easy. I then entered the Manchester Marathon for Sunday 7 April! Anyway, I attach a graph for you... my pace in all runs since mid-Sept - things going ok so far - just have to implement the lessons learnt from last year's training.
Cheers
John
PS more graphs on the way if you want

Well done John, looks like good progress towards your previous level of fitness. I do enjoy looking at stats too. I recall reading your 5k progress graph in the past too 😁. I actually think your LM time was very good - especially on such a hot day with recent injury so you should be very proud of that. Good luck with Manchester 👍
