Finish strong ...

So, the last run of 2018 and Garmin has awarded me the Finish Strong badge for running on New Year's Eve :D

What a year! I feel I'm finishing in a really good place - both mentally and physically. I've had a few spells on the injury couch, but am now trying to make crosstraining between runs a habit, just as strong as running every other day. In 2018 I have run 3 or 4 times a week, progressed from 5k to 10k, ran my first sub 30 minute 5k, ran my first race, ran a 10 mile race, extended my run to 18k, run over 75 miles in one month and - most importantly - I'm still running and still enjoying it! A large part of that is down to my own focus and determination, but an equally large part is down to the amazing inspiration, encouragement, recognition and support from all you wonderful people.

Absolutely heartfelt thanks to one and all; here's to a strong finish to 2018 and an equally strong start to 2019. A very Happy New year everyone xxx

As with all these things, my accomplishments are tiny when compared to some, but compared to 'past me' I'm very happy with them 😀

Great stuff Linda, so many achievements! Especially well done for getting into a routine with the cross-training - something I haven't managed to do as yet! Happy running for 2019, hope you go from strength to strength 😊🏃💪
