Who here mostly adheres to Jeff Galloways theories about marathonning? I have completed 3 HMs basically following his advice - but now that I am preparing for my first full marathon I am sticking more closely to it.

Run/walk/run?
Personally I find the switching between walking and running more difficult and cumbesome than slowing down my pace a bit. However, if it works for you then great stuff.
For anyone who hasn't already done so, is very much worth trying, as you never know it might work for you.
Me! Worked for me twice. First time I was really careful to determine my run walk ratio before setting off. I stuck to it and was in fine fettle at the end.
Second time I changed it to more running and less walking. Again I was fine by the end and managed a sprint finish
I believe in it. It makes sense to me.
I’m not sure Bazza, as I’ve run the HMs I have done. I suspect the longer distances may ask for some walk bits though l. I have a 30k in March to test that theory out.
I think it's a very practical and sensible technique. I tried it on short runs and it did help.
Problem for me is - at my "age and stage" I want the totally impractical and senseless challenge of going out next October and tackling the FM full bore
Not a lot of thrills left for me at this point so short of peeing blood -
